Ma kexuan has fully lived his life as a great artist and a great man.On behalf of ASIFA China, our condolences to everyone loved him.

    Mr. Ma Kexuan, is the professor of Digital Art Department of Software and Micro-electronics College of Peking University, the part-time Doctorial Supervisor of Animation College of Communication University of China, Member of ASIFA, Council Member of China Animation Association, Member of China Film Association. He was the director of Shanghai Animation Film Studio. He has been engaged in animation creation industry for more than forty years. At the end of fifty to middle of sixty of last century, he was the animator in production of the famous animation feature films like 《Baby Tadpoles Look for Their Mother》,《Mudi》, and was the animation design (key animator), motion design and art design in the production of 《Three Monks》,《Nezha Conquers the Dragon King》,《Legend of Sealed Book》and paper cut animation film《Hong Jun Qiao》, etc.

    In between eighty and nineties years of last century, Mr. Ma Kexuan independently or jointly directed the animation films like 《Twelve Mosquitoes and Five People》, 《New Doorbell》, 《Super Soap》, 《Feelings of Mountains and Waters》, and was honored the significant awards in the international animation film festivals in Annecy (France), Hiroshima (Japan), Montreal (Canada), Varna (Bulgaria), Mumbai (India), and Shanghai (China).

    From the early year of this century, Mr. Ma Kexuan is mainly devoted himself in the education of animation art in the higher education institutions.
